Lynn Gorfinkle’s and Josh Spiegelman’s organic, seasonal, and local menu includes organic vegan and gluten-free beet/quinoa veggie burgers, house made sodas with agave, kombucha on tap,  and Strauss organic salted caramel milkshakes. This attention to local purveyors and ingredients can be a food cliché in the Bay Area, but this level of care and attention is not often found in an affordable burger-focused restaurant.

Our design for Roam echos this thoughtful sustainability by using salvaged materials, from the tobacco barn siding (from Black’s Farmwood) for the back bar cabinetry and bar wall front, to the 200 year old barn beam and steel train rail used for the bar foot rail. Local SF woodworker Conor Mehan laminated the communal table from wood shop scraps, and our friends at Berkeley-based  Metro Lighting fabricated the custom Strauss milk bottle chandelier.

Zagat
This "excellent" burger chainlet is dedicated to "sustainable" ingredients in its "juicy, grass-fed" beef, all-natural bison, turkey and veggie patties, all gilded with "unique toppings" and washed down with "thick, delicious" shakes.
SF Gate
This Cow Hollow burger spot strays from being a greasy spoon joint, serving eco-conscious, healthy menu options, without sacrificing taste.
